Bourbon County VINELink Coverage
Kentucky VINE is the state's free service for custody information and automated notices. According to Kentucky, it pulls data from jail booking systems and prisons. Mental-health facilities and other participating custody sources feed it too. A qualifying status change can trigger notice. The service can send it right away. The Kentucky Attorney General describes it as statewide. It runs around the clock for local-jail and adult-corrections information.
Bourbon County's local jail pages publish no county-specific VINE feed policy. They do not promise that every Cadmus roster entry will show up in VINE. Nor do they set a speed for a new arrest record moving between systems. To search, pick Kentucky in the live VINELink search. Follow its county and facility choices. Read the individual result with care. An empty result does not mean no arrest happened.
VINELink follows one person's custody and sends alerts about that person. It is not a public gallery. It is not a roster of everyone arrested, nor a final account of any case.
Check a Bourbon County Arrest
Start with enough detail to separate people who share a name. The live interface decides which fields appear. Before acting on a result, the facility, current status, ID details, and known personal context should all line up.
- Open VINELink and choose Kentucky.
- Select Bourbon County or the Bourbon County Regional Jail if the interface offers those choices.
- Enter the name or identification value requested by the current form.
- Compare possible matches and check the facility rather than relying on the name alone.
- Open the matching record and note its custody status before registering.
Someone may have been released or transferred by the time you search. The Bourbon County arrest and roster overview lays out the separate sources. When timing matters, call the Bourbon County Regional Jail at (859) 987-2137.
What Kentucky VINELink Shows
Exact fields shift with the source and the live interface. Treat each one as a status snapshot rather than a certified court record.
| Result item | How to read it |
|---|---|
| Name or identifier | Separates possible matches; confirm other context. |
| Custody status | Reflects the status reported by the participating source. |
| Facility | Identifies the reporting jail or institution and may change after transfer. |
| Release information | May appear after custody ends, subject to the source record. |
| Alert choices | Lists available phone, text, email, app, or web methods. |
A facility name does not tell you which agency made the arrest. The court that owns the case stays hidden too. Bourbon County Regional Jail holds city, neighboring-county, Kentucky corrections, and United States Marshals Service populations. When jurisdiction matters, pair the VINELink status with the arresting agency or the court record. A transfer moves a person. It settles nothing about the charge.
Register for Kentucky Custody Alerts
Registration is free. Kentucky documents phone, email, text, in-app, and website options where available. Phone registration uses a four-digit PIN to acknowledge the message. Keep that PIN private. The person in custody is never told who registered, according to Kentucky.
- Open the verified person's record and select its notification control.
- Choose the offered event and contact method. More than one phone or email may be used.
- Create a four-digit PIN for phone alerts. A switchboard cannot acknowledge automated calls.
- Complete the confirmation and save the registration details.
- Update VINELink when a phone number or email changes.
Telephone registration runs at 1-800-511-1670, with TTY at 1-866-847-1298. Automated calls may arrive at any hour, and failed calls are repeated during the stated notice period until acknowledged.
Kentucky VINE Alert Timing
The Kentucky Attorney General says local-jail release notifications are attempted every 30 minutes. They run for up to 24 hours. They stop once acknowledged. For state institutions, notice is made when possible up to 72 hours before release. Those are statewide practices. They are not a Bourbon County promise that every booking reaches VINE at a set minute.
Release, transfer, escape, or another reported change can each trigger its own notice. An alert is a prompt to verify, not a guarantee of safety. Call 911 for an immediate threat. Kentucky DOC Victim Services takes program questions at 502-564-5061 or 877-687-6818.
Note: Keep contact details current because an alert cannot reach a disconnected phone or unused email.
Bourbon County Verification Limits
A fresh arrest can happen before any searchable custody entry exists. Bourbon County publishes no intake-to-roster timing promise and no Cadmus-to-VINE schedule. For a recent event, check the official current-inmate portal. Then call the jail. The Daily Arrest Report explains why the roster serves as the same-day fallback. No separate official 24-hour feed exists.
VINE does not replace a court file. For hearings and disposition, the court's final handling of a charge, use the Bourbon Circuit Court Clerk or CourtNet. It is not a mugshot archive either. For an arrest report or a nonexempt booking record, contact the agency that owns the record or the jail itself.
Systems VINE Does Not Replace
The jail's federal housing reference points to the United States Marshals Service, but Kentucky VINE is not a federal locator. Bureau of Prisons custody requires the BOP locator. Immigration detention runs through a separate ICE locator. Neither status should be inferred from a county listing.
Kentucky KOOL covers state corrections information, notes daily updates, and warns that newer data may not be final. VINE stays the notification route Kentucky points to for release, transfer, escape, and upcoming parole events.
- Booking
- Intake after an arrest, before guilt is decided.
- Transfer
- A move between facilities or custody systems.
- Disposition
- The court's result for a case.
- PIN
- The four-digit code used to acknowledge a phone notice.
Smart911 alerts promoted for Paris are community emergency notices, not a booking feed. Bourbon County lists no SAVIN booking page and no sheriff booking app. Kentucky VINE remains the documented custody-alert channel.
When No Bourbon Result Appears
A blank screen is not the end of the story. It just means one system has nothing to show right now. Someone arrested in Bourbon County may have been released before the search. Or the person was moved to a jail in another county or state. The booking may sit under a different name spelling. It may be a federal facility with no link to this database. Updates lag too. The connected source may simply not have sent the newest booking data yet. A restricted record can hide details from public view. Try the exact legal name if you have it. Then check the official jail roster side by side.
For a live answer on local custody, call Bourbon County Regional Jail at (859) 987-2137. Staff only need enough identifying facts to tell one person from another. Questions about the arrest itself go to the police agency that made it. Questions about a bond order, hearing, plea, or sentence go to a different office. The Bourbon Circuit Court Clerk handles those. Each office keeps a different set of records. That is exactly why one system can come up empty while another still shows an open case or a person in custody.
Treat a release notice with some care too. Online status can shift before anyone reads the alert. A transfer between facilities can look like a release even though the person is still held somewhere else. Read the event description closely. Keep your registration record handy, and call the facility when the difference matters. An unofficial arrest page is no substitute for a current location check.
Kentucky Written Release Notice
Kentucky offers a paper path as well. The Department of Corrections Office of Victim Services runs a written release-notification option. This is a state corrections service. Mail goes to PO Box 2400, Frankfort, Kentucky 40602, and the current brochure lists Room G-46 for that branch. It covers Kentucky notification, not the live Bourbon County jail check.
Whatever method you choose, keep your contact details current. A changed phone number, a blocked automated caller, a full voicemail box, or an abandoned email can swallow a notice. That can happen even when the system sends it on time. VINELink registrations can be updated online, and the state phone line handles registration by telephone. Guard your four-digit PIN. You need it to acknowledge calls. You also use it to manage the notification account.
